Looking back

I took this photo back in 2011 but it stays in my mind from time time to time. It has both the walker that my grandpa was using at the time and the cross that be followed. There is something about the idea of getting old and nearing the end and idea around moving on to another place that just intrigued me.

I saw it while looking through old photos and thought is would be good to post, as grandpa has been gone now for a while and who knows what comes after.

Tequila Festival - 2014

I love tequila, and what better way to get a taste of different types than a Tequila festival.

We attended the Northwest Tequila Fest yesterday. After tasting 8 different varieties, my favorite was from a local company, Sparkle Donkey tequila. Good stuff!

Seafair 2014

Seafair Saturday on the water is the best way to experience everything that is going on in Seattle in the summer. Lots of boats, sun, people watching, and loads of entertainment.

Here are a variety of pictures to show the entertainment.

Seahawks Superbowl Parade

It was very cold in Seattle for the Superbowl parade. After an hour delay (traffic sucked), we saw the winner team come down 4th ave. It was cool to see the amount of support for the team.

Upcoming show with my work. RAW Seattle. 9/28.

I will be showing and selling my work at the upcoming RAW TRANSLATIONS show in Seattle on September 28 @ 6pm. Come check it out.

There will be a lot of other artists ranging from photographers, fashion designers, makeup artists, and musical talent.

Get a discounted ticket for only $10 before the show and help support the artists, aka me:)

Start you Saturday night here, have a few drinks, then off to enjoy the rest of your evening partying it up.

Check out my profile.

Looking forward to seeing you at the event!

Fremont Solstice Parade 2013

A week ago I attended the Fremont Solstice Parade. I missed the beginning with all the bikers, but still got a lot of shots of the parade.

Many more photos are on my gallery site.

Tahiti Vacation

Tahiti is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The water is crystal clear, and everything is in techno color when looking around. Just amazing!

Here are some picture from the trip. More will be posted on my gallery site soon.

Color Vibe Seattle 2013

One of the most colorful and fun runs I have attended, Color Vibe Seattle 2013 was a 5k run at Bellevue College. If was a lot of fun to walk around and photograph everyone getting their color on.

Here are some of the photos from the day. A full gallery is located on my gallery site:

Summer is coming to Seattle

I have been behind on my blog for a few months. Work has been crazy busy. I plan to catch up and keep new content going.

A few weeks ago it was 80+ degree in Seattle so I took the kids to a nice lake for some swimming. The water was freezing cold, but they didn't mind too too much.

Here are some photos from the day.

Test shoot at Grim's - Tawnie

I had a wonderful time shooting several woman a few weeks ago at Grim's Butterfly lounge in Seattle. This place is awesome. Anyone looking for a venue for a party, check out their butterfly lounge. So cool!

The shoot was a cooperation between myself and Scotty Provo, one of Seattle's finest makeup artists.

I am going to post a few blog entries to encompass all of the pictures. Here is the first.

For this blog post we have Tawnie. She modeled a few outfits in a variety of poses. Here are a selection of photos from the shoot.

New site and theme

I have a new host for my site, Squarespace.com. So far they have been awesome and the site looks great. Come check out the new look and ping me with any feedback.

I am looking for more shoots this year. Valentines day is coming up, get some photos for yourself or a spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend.

I also have a photo show coming up in February. More details to come on time and location.

Happy new year!

Scottmarie Fashion Show

I had the privilege of shooting a fashion event for a friend, Scotty Provo, and his new fashion line, ScottiMarie. It was a fun time and the clothes looked great. Everyone who attended had a great time.

For more info about ScottMarie, go to scottimarie.com.

The show started with some belly dancing from Rebecca.

Followed by the line of beautiful models and ScottiMarie fashions.

Many thanks to Scotty Provo and friends for setting up the event.

Pacific Science Center

I ended up taking the kids to the Pacific Science Center today. It was one of the first sunny days we have had on a weekend in a while. Here are some shots I got of my kids playing at the center.

Seattle Central Library + walk home

I had the opportunity to take photos at the Seattle Central Library today with the Microsoft meetup group. There was a pretty good turn out. The only downside was tripods were not allow in the library (stupid "liability" rules). It was my first time in the library and it was awesome. Between all the books, architecture, and colors it was a cool experience.

I didn't want to wait for the bus home so I decided to walk. It was only three miles. On my route was the Space Needle, EMP, Kerry Park, and a variety of nice neighborhoods. I managed to snap a few photos on the way home as well.

Portland Photo Walk

It's been a while since I have been able to get out on a photo walk. A business trip to Portland presented a good opportunity get out at night and shoot some photos of downtown Portland right before the Christmas holiday. Thanks to @katiejoyphoto for joining and leading the way. I was shooting with my Canon t2i, 50mm 1.8, and tripod.

Occupy Wall Street - Seattle

I walked through the Occupy Wall street protests yesterday. It was nice to see a bunch of people peacefully getting together in the cold and not having cops beat the shit out of them like in New York and other parts of the world. Hopefully everything will stay peaceful and some changes will come from the protests, mainly around corruption of government.
